NEW EDITIONS

Maison Commun presents two editions by Koenraad Dedobbeleer.

With these linked editions, Koenraad Dedobbeleer concentrates the paradigm of Maison Commun in an almost ultimate way: to displace the everyday object and free it from its primary function.
Dedobbeleer proposes to open a door that could well free us for a moment from the hustle and bustle of the world.

The first of the two editions by Koenraad Dedobbeleer is made from the key of the front door of his creative studio. The second one is made from a key ring.

A passage on context, on transformation and interpretation, which takes us back to our relationship with objects.

A game of transference that leads us to a certainty: Ceci n'est pas une clé.


Both editions will be revealed on Saturday 23 March 2024.

Koenraad Dedobbeleer creates sculptures, objects, site-specific installations and photographs teeming with associations, deadpan commentary and references to art history.
The artist focuses on everyday objects, which he modifies and recontextualises.
This approach opens up the perspectives and potential interpretations of his multi-faceted work.
